Despite one of them experiencing a stabbing at Applebee's, the Librarians are back this week to dish all about Crybaby Bridges and the weirdly prolific amount of them in the Buckeye State. Whether there's truth to the stories or they're all simply folklore watch out for those Foley Artist Ghosts, Satanic Cults, Neil Patrick Harris, and Ohio Winter driving conditions. 

This week's episode features a roundup of Winter themed horror films guaranteed to give you chills (or at least something to talk about on a first date) From Stephen King to new scream queens, there's something for everyone. 

The Librarians are falling apart, Britta bullies a dead guy, Beth defends her OG horror bestie Eddie, surprisingly no one has Diphtheria (take that, Balto!) and overall the vibes are...a lot. Anyway, Happy Birthday Edgar Allen Poe!

The Librarians return after a week off to tell you the sordid tales of two of Ohio's haunted hotels: Lebanon's The Golden Lamb- a site tied to many civil war stories and some spirits who probably enjoy slapstick comedy, and Punderson State Park's Punderson Manor Lodge and Conference Center- home to at least one specter who might have escaped Disney's Haunted Mansion ride, amongst many other ghostly inhabitants. So sit back, relax, and help us kick off 2024 at the Lake Eerie Library!

Merry Christmas Eve, Listeners! Hopefully you're already enjoying a Christmas book flood but if you need some seasonal spine-tinglers to get you through the end of the year, the Librarians are here with some Christmas Horror Book Recs! Enjoy an extra brief cultural education on Iceland's Jólabókaflóðið and an appearance by special holiday guest- the infamous Tater Tot! 

The Librarians stopped their cookie baking and descended from Mt. Crumpet to bring you this list of Christmas Horror Film recommendations.  Will they cover the classics? Or will they all be obscure indie horror titles? Can you tell us about these elves? Did you feed your new pet after midnight? What level did you park on in the garage and do they validate? All these questions and more await you in this weeks episode! 

This week the Librarians are experiencing Christmas madness and delivering the sordid tale of Cleveland's own Iron Flapper- Velma West, who made national headlines in the roaring twenties (and surprisingly is NOT the inspiration for the character of Foxy Roxie Hart, despite a myriad of murderous similarities) Don't Wiig out if this week sounds a bit different while we work through a new audio setup and for everyone's sake DON'T MAKE US SING!!

This week the Librarians take you to Willoughby to learn the sad Christmas Eve tale of the mysterious Girl in Blue and the spooky story of the Haunting of Willoughby Coal. Beth goes Liam Neeson on the missing person board at Walmart, Britta teaches a master class on segues, and we all take a trip to another dimension....the Twilight Zone.
